About

I am continually in awe of the Lord–the way that He loves us so deeply and provides for us every single day. I want to live daily in the unique revelation of His deep love.

I love being up in the mornings, even though I am not always diligent about it; I am a morning person at heart, though not always in body. When I started this blog, my schedule had changed at work, allowing me more time in the mornings to prepare. Seeing the sunrise suddenly became a daily reality. It used to be that this was a treat–one only experienced on the off occasion that I actually rose out of my bed when I wanted to. It seems like something luxurious or expensive or extravagant to see–but it’s not! It’s an incredible gift that we can experience without cost every–single–day.

The more I live, the more I realize that the same is with God’s love. This passionate, intense God longs for us to feel the burnings of His heart for us every day. But is it a treat to be delighted in occasionally? Did He only mean for us to experience that love when we’ve been what we consider to be “good”? No! He means for us to be in a state of constant communion with Him, living life confidently out of the flow of His abundant love.

Jesus said to His disciples:

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing… These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full” (John 15:4-5, 11).

That is what this blog means to me: as I hunger after the Lord, I want to experience Him every day and seek for fresh revelation. Life is a treasure to be lived in His presence, and I want to be a fruitful branch. I want to grow and change and be challenged and shaken and pruned, and generally be available to whatever He calls me to do. Furthermore, I desire that the fruit of abiding in Him would be life and satisfaction for others who come to know Him. These are the expressions of the revelations that God is continually teaching me as I search for what it means to live constantly with Him and in Him. I hope that they encourage and bless you in your journey as well.
